Docket vs Sufio
Sufio is an established invoicing app with a broad EU compliance feature set. Its rating and App Store tenure are included in the dated table below. If you need electronic invoicing or broader international invoicing workflows, Sufio is the stronger fit.
The disagreement is the meter, and what sits behind each paywall.
Invoice allowances by plan
Sufio has no free plan. Its first three plans cap how many invoices you can create per month, while the top plan is unlimited. The entry tier’s cap covers a store that invoices roughly every other day; a busy month can require a bigger plan. The allowance is based on invoices created rather than total Shopify orders.
Docket does not meter product usage. Its launch price will be $9.99 USD monthly or $99.99 USD annually for Unlimited, with a Shopify-native trial after approval.
Document types by tier
With Sufio, the document types ladder up the pricing tiers: credit notes arrive on a higher plan, quotes on the top one. With Docket, invoices, packing slips, credit notes, and quotes are four templates through one engine, all included with Unlimited.
Where Sufio goes further
Sufio is the stronger fit if you need Peppol, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, documents translated into major languages, payment reminders, or its broader B2B automation. Docket v1 does not submit electronic invoices to compliance networks. Docket-authored labels are English.
Where Docket is narrower and simpler
Docket supports seller and customer VAT details, reverse-charge notes, per-order currency formatting, custom invoice and credit-note numbering, and reconciled tax totals. Merchant and customer text remains as supplied, including non-Latin data. Each document fetches Shopify data at generation time and stores immutable PDF and HTML while Docket remains installed.
The tradeoff is deliberate: four PDF document types, one plan, no invoice allowance, and no feature ladder. Uninstalling Docket deletes the stored archive and invalidates its public links.
