Switching from Order Printer Pro

If you are researching an Order Printer Pro alternative, it is probably not because the app failed you. It is an established app. You might be looking because your store grew and the bill stepped up even though your document workflow did not change. Docket’s billing model removes that order-count tiering. The full comparison is in Docket vs Order Printer Pro; this page is what switching actually involves.

The billing math at your volume

Find your store’s monthly order count in the Paid price row of the table below. That is your bill today, and the next tier boundary is where it steps up next. Docket’s launch price is the same at every volume: $9.99 USD monthly or $99.99 USD annually, unlimited documents. Annual prepayment is two months free. Store growth will not change Docket’s price because there is no usage metering. The current plan details are on the pricing page.

What a migration really involves

There is no template importer. Customized OPP templates can contain code that has no direct equivalent in Docket’s settings-based templates. Docket does not import those templates or translate them into settings.

In Docket, you configure a logo, one accent color, per-document footer text, and whether packing slips show prices. Separate settings cover seller and VAT details, invoice and credit-note numbering, and quote validity and terms. The preview buttons render sample PDFs from fixed data; they do not preview a real order or create a saved document.

That is a smaller customization surface than OPP. Custom layouts, barcodes, metafields, fonts, translated labels, and other code-level changes do not automatically carry over. Decide which of those you still need before canceling anything.

A Shopify-native trial will begin after Docket launches and you choose monthly or annual and approve the charge. Use that time to configure the settings, inspect the sample previews, generate test documents from orders you control, and run both apps side by side.

What you keep, what differs

What you keep. Your orders stay in Shopify, and installing Docket does not require an order-data export from OPP. If you already use PDF links in Shopify’s notification emails, Docket supports the same delivery pattern through copy-paste snippets.

What gets narrower. OPP publishes a broader document and customization set. Docket explicitly ships invoices, packing slips, credit notes, and draft-order quotes. Docket-authored labels are English in v1.

What differs. The billing model, first: one flat price instead of tiers keyed to your store’s order count. Storage, second: Docket fetches Shopify data at generation time and keeps the immutable PDF and HTML while the app remains installed. An invoice from January keeps January’s rendered values. If billing ends while Docket remains installed, existing documents and public customer links remain available. Uninstalling Docket deletes the archive and invalidates those links.

Run both before you cancel anything

Installing Docket touches nothing in Order Printer Pro. Run them side by side during the trial: configure Docket, generate documents from orders you control, and compare the output. Cancel your OPP subscription only when Docket’s documents are the ones you would put in front of a customer. The numbers below come from Order Printer Pro’s public App Store listing, checked on the date shown.
