Terms of service

The service

Docket is a Shopify app that generates invoices, packing slips, credit notes, and quotes as PDF documents from your store's orders. It is provided by Tactic Consulting Services LLC. Docket is available through the Shopify App Store. Installing or using the app means you accept these terms.

Billing

Docket offers one Unlimited subscription at $9.99 USD monthly or $99.99 USD annually. Shopify starts a native 14-day trial after you choose an interval and approve the charge. Annual prepayment is two months free compared with monthly billing. Shopify controls trial eligibility, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and the active subscription contract.

Docket does not meter product usage and offers no usage allowances, credits, coupons, or routine trial extensions. If billing ends while Docket remains installed, saved documents and public customer links remain available. The authenticated Documents screen continues to offer a complete archive export of every stored rendered PDF plus a manifest; resubscribing restores full app access. A Shopify-supported refund may correct a verified billing error, but it does not extend entitlement.

A temporary billing-verification outage does not cancel your subscription or delete saved records. Docket may temporarily block new document writes until Shopify verification succeeds, while existing public links continue to work.

Stored records and deletion

Archive exports are built from Docket's stored PDFs rather than live Shopify data. Secure export links expire after 30 days. Uninstalling Docket or completing Shopify shop redaction deletes saved documents, snapshots, public links, pending exports, secure tokens, and generated ZIP files. Docket does not create or retain an automatic post-uninstall archive.

Data processing and security

After counsel approval and effectiveness, the Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into these terms and is available at /dpa. It governs Docket's processing of personal data on a merchant's documented instructions. The public security overview describes the non-sensitive controls that support these commitments. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the business details you configure in templates (tax identifiers, addresses, legal footers) and for confirming that generated documents meet the legal requirements of the jurisdictions you sell into. Docket produces the documents you configure; it does not provide tax or legal advice.

Availability and liability

We operate Docket with care but provide it "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose.

Changes

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms here with an updated date and provide any additional notice required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
