Docket is live on the Shopify App Store

Docket is now on the Shopify App Store. It generates invoices, packing slips, credit notes, and draft-order quotes from your Shopify orders, delivers them through the notification emails Shopify already sends, and stores every PDF as an immutable record. What is Docket?

Four documents through one engine. When an enabled order or refund event arrives, Docket generates the document and hosts the PDF at a stable link. A one-time snippet in your Shopify notification template puts that link inside the emails your customers already receive, so there is no separate sender service and no deliverability setup.

Beyond automatic generation, you can bulk print. Filter orders by customer, date, fulfillment status, or tags, then select from the current 50-result page and send one combined PDF to the printer. Templates are settings, not code: logo, accent color, per-document footers, seller and VAT details, invoice and credit-note numbering, quote validity and terms. Sample previews render from fixed data before you save.

Why build another invoice app?

Because of how the existing ones bill. Most paid apps in this category tier their price on your store’s total order count. The store grows, the bill steps up, whether you printed more documents or not. Order Printer Pro, the category leader, publishes tiers that move from free under 50 orders a month to $10, $20, and $40 as the store gets busier. Roughly half of that app’s 1-star reviews are complaints about billing.

Docket’s answer is one price. Billed for the subscription, never for your order count. No order allowances, no document quotas, no counters running in the background.

The second reason is how documents are stored. A Docket document is a record, not a re-render. An invoice generated in January keeps January’s captured prices no matter what your catalog does afterwards, because the generated PDF is immutable. For EU and B2B merchants an invoice that silently re-renders from live data is an audit problem. Docket’s architecture makes that problem impossible.

What is not in v1?

Plain answers, because you should know before installing. Docket does not send its own email or SMS. It does not translate documents; labels are English. It has no e-invoicing, no accounting integrations, no catalogs or reports. Documents are retained while Docket stays installed. Cancelling billing keeps your archive; uninstalling deletes it.
