How to print Shopify invoices in bulk
Print invoices for up to 50 Shopify orders with the free Order Printer app, or use Docket when you need sorted PDF runs and stored records.

Use Shopify’s free Order Printer app to print invoices for as many as 50 selected orders at once. Select the orders in Shopify admin, choose “Print with Order Printer,” select the invoice template, then print or save the batch as a PDF. You need separate runs when the selection exceeds 50 orders.
How do you print several invoices with Shopify Order Printer?
Install Shopify Order Printer first. Then run the batch from Shopify admin:
- Open “Orders.”
- Select the orders whose invoices you need.
- Open the actions menu and choose “Print with Order Printer.”
- Select the invoice document in the “Document” section.
- Choose “Print documents.”
Shopify opens the browser print flow. Send the batch to a printer, or choose the browser option to save it as a PDF. Shopify documents the same multi-order route in its Order Printer instructions.
The free app also works from Shopify mobile and Shopify POS. POS requires the Order Printer tile on the smart grid.
How many Shopify invoices can you print at once?
Shopify Order Printer handles up to 50 selected orders in one run. Split a larger job into batches. Check the order selection before each print because the output follows the orders and document templates you chose for that run.
Shopify Order Printer creates the documents from current Shopify order data. You can edit its customer-facing templates with HTML, CSS, and Liquid. That code control is useful when your store needs a layout the default template does not provide. It also means template changes need testing before a large print run.
Should you print the batch or save one PDF?
Save the batch as a PDF when another person will print it, when the printer is not connected to the device running Shopify, or when you need to check page order first. The browser print dialog handles the PDF save for Shopify Order Printer.
A saved PDF is also easier to compare with the paper output. Open the first and last invoice before printing the full batch. Check the order references, page breaks, totals, seller details, and invoice numbers. A bad template multiplied across 50 orders wastes paper quickly.
Saving this print output does not create a managed invoice archive inside Shopify. Keep the PDF in the record system your business uses if you need it later.
When does Docket’s bulk print route help?
Docket helps when you need a sorted run and stored invoice records instead of a fresh rendering from the current order data. Its bulk-printing tool filters by customer, date range, fulfillment status, or tags. You can sort the selected documents by order number or creation date, in either direction, before Docket combines them into one PDF.
The current selection is limited to the visible 50-result page. Bulk Print has no free-text search for an order number or line item. Docket also does not generate pick lists in v1. Use Shopify Order Printer when a pick list or a code-edited invoice template is the better fit.
Every Docket invoice in the run is a full document record. Docket reuses an existing stored PDF when one exists. If an invoice is missing, the app can generate it from freshly fetched Shopify source data, subject to an active subscription. That distinction matters when you need the old invoice to stay as it was issued.
What should you check before a bulk invoice run?
- Filter the order list to the exact customer, date, fulfillment state, or tags you need.
- Check whether the selected orders already have invoice numbers and stored PDFs.
- Open one invoice before the batch and inspect its seller details, tax fields, totals, and page breaks.
- Confirm the sort direction before generating a combined PDF.
- Split any selection above 50 orders into separate runs.
Start with Shopify Order Printer if a free batch print solves the job. Use Docket when you need sorted combined PDFs and stored invoice records. See Docket’s current bulk-printing limits and steps.
